The 911 Turbo is quintessentially the most versatile and the highest standard when it comes to sports cars. Presented here is the 997.2 Turbo, which was the very last generation of Turbo’s Porsche built with a manual transmission. The 997.2 offers more power and torque with a more up to date interior and infotainment system over the 997.1. This car is 1/243 coupes built in the US with a manual transmission making it even rarer than the GT3 RS. In 2011, they made approximately 94 units in a 6 speed manual and only 16 in basalt black. This particular example has covered only 18,880 miles since new.
The original owner had the Turbo delivered to his home in New Jersey from the dealership. He kept the car in his climate controlled collection and drove it around 1k miles. In June 2011, the second owner purchased the car and drove it 17k miles, we then were honored to find and purchase this rare turbo example.
The car is finished in a Basalt Black Metallic Exterior with a black full leather. The condition of the interior is immaculate, showing no creases, discoloration or wear spots of any sorts. We are huge fans of the full leather black interior with red deviated stitching on all leather pieces such as the seats, center console, doors, dash, and rear shelf. When the car arrived at Merit, we removed the 9 year old paint protection film, then polished / paint corrected the car, and applied a new PPF on the entire front clip. PPF now covers the front bumper, hood, front fenders, A-Pillars, mirror caps, and stone guards. We also installed a new set Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. The car comes with an upgraded leather steering wheel and quad pipe tips, these are nice upgrades finishes and the original pieces will be included. Included in the sale are all the manuals, service records, car cover and both keys. The car is highly optioned with a MSRP of $151,865 and includes the following:
