The car has many after-market upgrades making it a perfect HPDE car. It is Jerez Black Metallic with carbon fiber roof and DCT transmission. The car is a second owner car that was bought in May ’14 and converted in June ’14, 8500 miles have been put on the car since converted with most miles being road miles. As far as track use, the car has done about 1500 track miles in HPDE events but never raced, just driven for the pure pleasure of driving. The car is street legal.
Mods are as follows:
Safety – Cobra Misano L seats (carbon fiber shell, leather and adjustable). Schroth 6-point harnesses with stock 3 pt. harnesses remaining for street use. Roll/harness bar (bolt-in) with back seat removed for weight savings. Coding by Markert Motorworks.
Engine – Stock with Dinan Underdrive Pulley, Dinan Cold Air Intake, Dinan Stage 3 software, Dinan DCT software. Akrapovic Titanium Exhaust (EVO link pipe w/ 100 psi cats, resonators, carbon fiber tips). New rod bearings (these were replaced as bearing wear is a known issue with the S65 engine, so they were replaced as a preventative measure to ensure long engine life).
Suspension – No EDC, so no emulation or coding issues. The suspension package that was installed was recommended by BimmerWorld and tuned on the track by James Clay of BimmerWorld. Suspension features MCS 2WNR Adjustable Dampers, Powerflex Rear Shock Mount, Hypercoil Springs (800 lb/in front, 1000 lb/in rear), Rear Adjustable Spring Perches, BimmerWorld Lower Control Arm Bearing Kit, Monoball Kit, RD Sport Swaybars (front and rear), Strut Mounted Adjustable Swaybar Links (front), Ground Control Camber/Caster Plates, Front tower strut brace, Adjustable rear toe links, Racing studs (facilitates easier tire change). EU DSC software installed by Markert Motorworks.
Brakes – Brembo GT big brake kit, 380mm slotted rotors, 6-piston front and 4-piston rear. Front brake cooling vents, ducts, carbon fiber backing plates w/ hose attachments.
Wheels – Comes with two sets of wheels. Stock wheels for street and HRE R40 18×9-in forged wheels for track.
Data – CAN bus connection wired for AIM Solo DL.
Miscellaneous – Car had a brand new windshield just installed and all services are up to date. There was one minor accident on the driver’s side, which was cosmetic and fully repaired. Car was just checked over fully by Chris Smith Racing.
