Merit Partners is pleased to offer this stunning COA confirmed, matching numbers 1975 Porsche 911S Coupe. This example features one of the most iconic Porsche exterior colors, (matching that of Ferdinand “Ferry” Porsche’s personal company car) Irish Green, over Cinnamon Leather/Tartan interior.
Model year 1974 (G Series. Aug. 1973 to July 1974 production) saw three significant changes in Porsche design from the 911 classic. First, the engine size was increased to 2687 cc giving an increase in torque. Second, was the introduction of impact bumpers to conform with low-speed protection requirements of US law, these bumpers being so successfully integrated into the design that they remained unchanged for 15 years. Thirdly, the use of K-Jetronic CIS Bosch fuel injection in two of the three models in the lineup – the 911 and 911S models, retaining the narrow rear arches of the old 2.4, now had a 2.7-litre engine producing 150 PS (110 kW; 150 hp) and 175 PS (129 kW; 173 hp), respectively.
This particular example recently underwent a no expenses spared full engine out overhaul/rebuild during which every component was analyzed and replaced or rebuilt. At all times throughout the restoration extreme care was taken to preserve the originality of the car. This can be especially seen in the interior, where only originally spec’d materials were used from the dash to the exquisite Cinnamon leather seats with Tartan blue/green inserts.
Since the engine overhaul, only approximately 1,000 miles have been added. This very special 911S has lived its entire life as an always garaged California car and currently sports the highly coveted blue California plates. Naturally, requiring nothing, the car is ready to be delivered. Certificate of Authenticity, pump, original books, all service records, build documentation and both keys to be provided with the vehicle.
